Teardrop Isle - Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka a Land of Lions or a Land of Serendipity, but I would say it as A Teardrop Isle.

I have heard about Sir Lanka so much and what it holds in nature and green. Without much of expectations, I want to discover the country with my eyes sees and what my camera captures. I just went on a trip to this wonderful place in September.

A land that holds ancient history as it's blessed with a rich wealth of scenic beauty, natural bounty of World Heritage treasures.

A land of quite an exceptional scope and splendor. I was thrilled that I was going to visit this wonderful finest island in the world that is rich in culture and adventures.

This exciting trip for 6D5N would be a great adventure that will take me to the heart of this extraordinary country and visiting some of it's most iconic heritage places such as the rock-cut fortress of Sigiriya and UNESCO riches of Kandya and Dambula, not forgetting the Little England of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya and the Coastal of Bentota.

This trip of mine was a great adventure to explore the misty grassland of the Horton Plains, the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala, climb up to the Lion head entrance that leads to the Sirigiya Rock Fortress, Kandy the UNESCO tooth temple of Buddha, Nuwara Eliya -Little England and also a place Ravana held Sita as his prisoner, going on a bumpy tipsy-turvey breathtaking lush hills and plains filled with tea plantation and finally ending the journey on the south coast of Bentota to enjoy some time on the waters of the Indian Ocean.

The richness of natural beauty, history, heritage, cultures, people, and smiles would want you to go back there again and so do I.

Look up for my individual write up of each place with photos.
